Good morning All,
I'm conducting research for a paper on American Gun Culture and was hoping some of you might be interested in answering some questions around gun ownership. I am trying to approach this from an objective stance so I'd like to conceal my gun ownership status. Some of the questions I'd like to ask are:
1) What are your views on gun ownership and why?
2) What are your thoughts on gun control policies?
3) How long have you been a gun owner?
4) What types of weapons do you own and why?
5) Do you belong to any clubs or organizations revolving around guns?
6) What stigmas or myths do you encounter as a gun owner?
Please let me know if you are willing to have a conversation to discuss these and other questions.
Thanks,
Sean
1) I believe anyone should be able to own a firearm If they choose to. I believe even convicted felons should be able to own firearm as long as they have fulfilled all their obligation such as prison sentence and parol.
2) Any gun control law is unconstitutional, the second amendment was written for a reason. It limits the power of the government not of the citizen. A piece of paper can’t bestow upon you a god given right.
3) I’ve been around firearm my whole life, I purchase my first firearm in my name when I was 18.
4) I own pistols, rifles, shotguns ranging from revolvers, semi autos, pumps, bolts and lever actions. I am always shopping and just buy whenever I find something that catches my eye.
5) I donate to GOA other then that I don’t belong to any clubs or ranges.
6) Suppressers make a gun so quite you can shoot it upstairs and not hear anything downstairs in your home. Another big one is how buying a firearm actually works specially depending on what state you’re in.
